Bacchus Marsh Rotary Art Show
King’s Birthday Weekend 8 -10th June 2024
This is the longest running art show in regional Victoria and attracts artists from all over Victoria and interstate.
Our 52nd exhibition was held on the King's Birthday long weekend 2024 and was a resounding success.
Our judge was Edwina Green, a curator from the National Gallery of Victoria praised the high standard of the artworks.
"It was an honour to judge the Bacchus Marsh Rotary Art Show. It is an incredible example of diverse talent both locally and interstate. There were many works that I hope get snapped up by some potential buyers tonight, as they will make beautiful additions to your homes. Art is often overlooked as vital to a community, but it is an integral part in the way we see the world, value our public and private spaces, and to be used as a mechanism for sharing ideas and creativity.
I want to thank every artist for submitting their work to showcase their skills, story and connection to art. Congratulations to the winners tonight, and the highly commended- it was a difficult choice as many were deserving of awards.
Thank you to the Rotary Club for having me join this great art prize, and I look forward to seeing the development of art in the Bacchus Marsh community."
