The Bacchus Marsh Rotary Art Show
is held every King's Birthday Weekend.
This is the longest running art show in regional Victoria and attracts artists from all over Victoria and interstate.
The 51st exhibition in 2023 was a resounding success, with 22% of the 517 exhibits being sold.
Our judges are curators from the National Gallery of Victoria and have consistently praised the high standard of the artworks.

Sophie Prince is part of the Australian and First Nations Art curatorial team at the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV). She joined the NGV following 3 years as an editor and manager of the international contemporary arts & culture publication,VAULT Magazine. Prior to VAULT Sophie worked across curatorial and front of house operations at Heide Museum of Modern Art. Sophie is also currently honorary curator of the Victorian Bar’s Peter O’Callaghan QC Portrait Gallery and Collection.
Her academic background is in contemporary and postcolonial art which she continues to enrich and apply daily through her work. With over 10 years working in the arts sector, Sophie has worked as an independent curator and writer, as well as across commercial and institutional spaces, and continues her academic pursuits by intermittently undertaking residencies including with International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), New York and Arquetopia, Mexico.

Presented with a sheet of questions and a pencil, children must use their visual and detective skills to track down special animals or objects depicted in the artworks. A sweet prize will likely reward a task well done.

Purchase of a $2.00 ticket will give you the unique opportunity to win one of 4 prizes which include 3 original artworks and one dozen bottles of “The Plough” wines.
